Start at the destination
Open the receiving wallet or exchange, choose the exact asset and note the supported networks. Copy the address only after selecting the network. For an exchange deposit, use the account’s current deposit page. For a wallet you control, confirm that the wallet supports the chain and the asset representation you plan to send; seeing a familiar address does not establish either point. If the page also shows a MEMO, Tag or Payment ID, treat it as part of the deposit instructions.

Match asset, network, address and identifier
A ticker such as USDT is not enough because the asset can exist on several networks. Similar-looking address formats are also not proof. Read the full network name and any contract information supplied by the destination.
Then open Binance withdrawal, select the same asset and network, and compare the full address and identifier after pasting.
Menus can abbreviate a network or place a token standard beside its chain name. Do not translate those labels from memory. Compare the description and warning shown at both ends; if only one service lists the route, it is not a confirmed match. An address that passes a format check still does not prove that the destination will credit that network.
Compare fees after compatibility
For compatible routes, compare the current withdrawal fee, expected arrival amount, maintenance status and required confirmations. Avoid fixed “best network” rankings: availability and fees change.
Suppose the receiving platform accepts only one of the two networks offered by the sender. There is only one usable direct route, even if the other fee is much lower. If both routes are supported, compare the amount that will arrive after the displayed charge with the recipient’s minimum deposit. A transfer below that minimum may not be credited automatically. The Binance deposit and withdrawal fee page is a starting point; the final withdrawal preview and receiving page supply the terms for your transfer.
Use a sensible test transfer
A small test can help with a new destination when it satisfies both services’ minimums and the extra fee is reasonable. Wait for the destination to credit it, then recheck every field before the main transfer. A successful explorer status is not the same as a credited exchange balance. If the test is still pending, stop there; sending the larger amount would repeat the same unresolved assumption.
If the wrong network was used
Stop sending more. Keep the TxID, asset, network, address, identifier, amount and time. Contact the receiving service through its official support route. Recovery may be unavailable or may involve a fee. Binance’s deposit recovery instructions describe a request process for supported cases involving deposits to Binance; they do not promise recovery at another recipient.
Never give a seed phrase or private key to a “recovery specialist.” A confirmed blockchain transaction cannot be reversed by a stranger.
Final checklist
- Same exact asset at both ends.
- Same supported network at both ends.
- Fresh destination address from the current page.
- MEMO or Tag copied when required.
- Minimum, fee and expected arrival amount checked.
- Full pasted details reviewed before confirmation.
