Current record
7 October 2026: from 29 September 2026 Binance is moving non-stock assets from the Funding Account into the Spot Account in batches, as set out in its Funding Account to Spot Account migration FAQ. Funding to Spot transfers: the page treated a Funding → Spot transfer as the usual step before a spot order and described Funding as the wallet for P2P; it now says that in most cases the crypto is already in Spot and no transfer is needed, and that a transfer remains for accounts not yet migrated, for users who post P2P ads and for the six settlement currencies. P2P payment made, crypto not released: the page said released crypto appears in Funding; it now says P2P orders placed by regular users use the Spot Account by default, so check Spot first and then Funding.
16 September 2026: Binance sign-up guide: the page presented the referral ID as a possible fee reduction to confirm on the fee page and in a completed fill, gave no clear answer on adding a code later and named no regions. It now explains that a referred user receives only the cashback the referrer chooses to share (calculated hourly, paid in USDC to the Spot account, possibly zero, and stopping at VIP 3), that the fee page does not change, the conditions for adding a referrer within 30 days of registering, and which residents cannot use binance.com or cannot receive referral rewards. The homepage and the affiliate disclosure now carry a short version of that regional note.
Withdrawal whitelist: removed the statements that a new address needs email confirmation and that the setting sits under Account → Security; the whitelist is managed under Settings → Withdrawal, approved with a passkey or 2FA, and new addresses can be given a 24, 48 or 72-hour withdrawal hold. P2P withdrawal hold: the title no longer presents T+2 as a purchase hold, an unsourced sentence about regional terms was removed, the T+1 markets are named, and the rule that funds moved out of Funding during T+1 cannot be moved back (verified users in Egypt, Bangladesh and Bahrain only) was added. Anti-phishing code: now states that the code also appears in official SMS in some countries and regions. MEMO and Tag: now states that Binance is unable to assist when a wrong MEMO credits another user, that recovery carries a fee, and that amounts below the minimum withdrawal after that fee are not returned. BNB fee discount: now gives the 25% discount shown on the fee page in September 2026 with a 0.100% → 0.075% example, and no longer treats referral cashback as part of the fee rate.
5 September 2026: corrected the English pages that said no editorial email was available; the contact address is [email protected]. Restored the published referral code and registration link, and removed unsupported descriptions of personal account experience. Guides were also edited for clarity; those wording changes are separate from these corrections.
